Your job
As a Financial Reporting Intern, you will be an integral part of the project to phase out a global reporting tool, and support the implementation of the new solution. This project aims to enable Finance users to report more efficiently and ensure more timely, accurate, consistent, and complete reporting. Key responsibilities of your role will include:
Performing business analysis procedures to support the transition
Assisting in requirement setting
Testing new system functionalities
Communicating with key stakeholders through presentations and slide decks, and establishing an efficient feedback loop
Providing ad hoc support within the FIRE team where required.
Please note that this internship is focused on providing practical work experience and does not support a thesis or final research project related to the internship itself. However, we offer the flexibility to use Fridays for working on a thesis that is not connected to the internship.
Your working environment
ABN AMRO is a leading Dutch bank with a global presence. You'll be part of the Financial Reporting (FIRE) team, which is part of the IT Grid within ABN AMRO Clearing. The FIRE team is comprised of 12 members with diverse backgrounds. This international, cross-functional, and agile team focuses on optimising the financial reporting landscape within ABN AMRO Clearing. The internship offers a hybrid work model, with an expectation to be present in the office three times a week.
Your profile
A strong interest in financial reporting and project management is essential. A background in accounting, finance, or a business-related study is preferred. Do you have ideas and interests that can contribute to more efficient reporting processes? If yes, then you're already a step ahead.
Check your profile:
University education (WO/HBO) with a focus on Accounting, Finance, or Business-related fields.
Experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
You are available as soon as possible until the end of July/August 2025, for 32-40 hours per week.
Fluency in English is required; a good understanding of Dutch is a bonus.
You are enrolled in a European university for the duration of the internship and have a Dutch residence permit.
