The bank is obliged to give insight into a plethora of financial data to the regulators like the Dutch Central Bank (DNB) and the European Central Bank (ECB). The reporting department within the bank is responsible for these reporting activities and thus contributes to our license to operate. In the last years the interest of the regulators has shifted from the more aggregated reports to the more granular reports. The consequence of this shift is that more data is reported to the regulator than ever before. The result of this is that at the side of ABN AMRO the need for analysis skills with regard to data and data models has increased.
Your job
In the current landscape the team facilitates our internal stakeholders with the functionalities to be able to report the requested granular reports: AnaCredit, CRE, RRE and SHS-G. The tool which is used is ‘Axiom’ by Nasdaq. A new target Data and IT architecture for Finance and Risk has been developed under the name of COMPASS including a corresponding roadmap, which addresses several Business and Regulatory requirements, amongst them:
Implement a central steering model to drive decisions, coupled with strong control framework across group and entities;
Effective integration and management of data resulting from various business processes and external data;
Implemented and effective data quality requirements and control framework;
Reconciliation of data across the Bank.
Implementation of COMPASS means for our team that the sourcing for granular reports AnaCredit, CRE, RRE, SHS and SFR will change. This will have impact on the current configuration in AXIOM which has to change. The expected go live for AnaCredit, CRE and RRE is in Q2 of 2025.

Your profile
Who can strengthen the current Business Developers within the team
3 - 5 years of experience in this field
Who can understand the regulations of the Central Bank and translate these to smaller chunk of requirements / acceptance criteria to be developed in our reporting tool: Axiom.
Good communication skills
Affinity with ETL or a Reporting tool
Good analytical skills
Good knowledge of the English (oral and written)
Curious, solution driven
Comfortable in a dynamic environment
