Objective

ABN AMRO is dedicated to fostering innovation in financial services by integrating AI tools that enhance the process of validating and developing new ideas. This assignment focuses on exploring how AI can support various stages of innovation and experimentation from assumption formulation, setting up tests, to experiment analysis. As an intern you will identify relevant AI use cases, conduct a market analysis of potential partners, understand compliance requirements, and propose workflows that integrate AI into our innovation processes.

Assignment overview

Explore Use cases How AI Can Be Integrated In The Innovation Process Of Testing New Business Concepts 

Examples are but not limited to: 

• Assumption and Hypothesis Development: Investigate how AI can assist in formulating, refining, and validating assumptions and hypotheses for new financial propositions. 
• Experiment Design and Execution: Examine ways AI can enhance the design, execution, and automation of experiments to test new ideas efficiently and effectively. 
• Data Collection and Analysis: Identify AI tools that can streamline data collection and provide advanced analytics to derive insights and inform decision-making. 
• Feedback and Iteration: Assess how AI can facilitate the collection and analysis of feedback to support iterative development and continuous improvement of propositions. 
• Concept generation and user research: Asses how AI can facilitate the visualization of concepts and gather feedback on these concepts. 

Conduct a Market Scan of AI Companies 

• Perform a comprehensive analysis of companies offering AI solutions that support these innovation and experimentation usecases. 
• Define a framework to determine which AI solutions will be a good fit for ABN AMRO 
• Highlight promising partners that align with the strategic goal of ABN AMRO 

Propose Integrated AI Workflows to validate and test new business ideas 

Develop a framework on how to incorporate AI capabilities into our current experimentation and innovation workflows to enhance specific usecases, from idea generation to market validation. 

Deliverable: 

• Prepare a comprehensive report detailing your findings, analyses, and recommendations. 
• Present your report to the innovation team, focusing on actionable insights and proposed strategies for AI integration. 
   

Duration

This internship will last for 6 months, during which you will be part of our innovation department. You'll be expected to work at our Amsterdam office at least 2 days a week.

Start date tbd, but ideally from April 2025 onwards.

Your profile

• Strong research and analytical skills with an interest in AI and Innovation  

• Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights. 

• Interest in the financial industry banking is an advantage.
