Portfolio Manager - Central Data Officer (Amsterdam)
At a glance
Do you want to be part of the Data Revolution in the banking industry? Do you have a strong passion for data and do you agree that data is at the core of creating value for customers? Does working in a complex environment energize you? Then come help us unlock the power of data at the Central Data Office (CDO) of ABN AMRO!
You help realise the delivery of the ABN AMRO strategy: a Personal Bank in a Digital Age. You ensure that the entire bank follows the correct route towards a fully data driven organisation. From shaping new concepts to designing and guiding data management initiatives. You are able to quickly submerge yourself in a brand-new initiative, shape, socialise and ensure it is properly anchored for successful execution.
Your job
As a Portfolio Manager you support and control the obligations that the Central Data Office has towards the organization and regulator.
In order to optimally support the control of the CDO's obligations towards the organization and the regulator, a dedicated Portfolio Management team has been set-up. This team creates an overview of the obligations made in various change programs within the organization, the dependencies between them, and monitors their progress. Portfolio management will also ensure consistent progress reports, necessary escalations and interventions with the aim of ensuring interoperability and enabling the use of standards. In addition, this team provides support activities related to first-line risk management, including non-financial risk management. Beyond merely controlling obligations, the department also identifies and tracks successes, translating them into business value where possible.
Some examples of your responsibilities:
- Process Optimization and Innovation: Lead efforts to optimize and innovate processes, implementing strategic programs and projects. Ensure these initiatives are executed according to agreements made with clients and other relevant stakeholders.
- CDO Roadmap monitoring: Monitor and report on the CDO roadmap in JIRA Align, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are progressing as planned, have clear scopes and definitions-of-done, and are following the change management process.
- Expertise in Jira Align: Be an expert in JIRA Align, responsible for training colleagues and data domains on organizing their roadmaps within the tool. Orchestrate the comprehensive progress of Data Management Capabilities throughout the bank.
- Dependency and activity management: Create and maintain reports detailing dependencies between milestones and deliverables, and properly document all activities in our shared overviews and administrative systems.
- Stakeholder engagement and decision facilitation: Initiate and facilitate conversations with key stakeholders, including portfolio managers, product owners, and management team members, to drive decision-making processes and identify necessary actions.
- Commitment Oversight and Reporting: Support, oversee, and provide comprehensive reports on the CDO's commitments to both the organization and regulators, ensuring all obligations are met efficiently and effectively.
In this role, being an expert in JIRA Align is crucial, as you will not only manage and track roadmaps and deliverables but also be responsible for training and empowering colleagues across the organization to utilize the tool effectively. Your ability to translate strategic initiatives into actionable plans and measurable business value will be instrumental to the success of the CDO and the organization as a whole.
