Business Consultant Process Automation

At a glance

Within the Process Automation Department we strive to improve and digitalise the day-to-day experience of our clients and employees throughout all Client Units of ABN AMRO. We take a leading role in defining and implementing the bank strategy for hyper automation, integrating both business and technology perspectives. As a Business Consultant Process Automation you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team (Value Proposition Team), responsible for finding the best solutions and supporting Client Units to automate their processes. As a team, we are skilled in simplifying complex content and in managing diverse stakeholders groups; regardless of whether we are talking with content experts or senior management, we create clarity and structure that leads to tangible decisions, solutions, and actions towards our development teams.

Your job

As a Business Consultant Process Automation your job involves a combination of activities, ranging from supporting strategic initiatives within the hyper automation domain, to the intake of new business processes for automation (by being able to match process requirements and business needs with technology feasibility; and ensuring that business requirements are clear to be picked up by our development teams). You will work closely with business, process experts, and lean consultants across Client Units, and in close collaboration with our Product Owners and development teams responsible for the IT development.
To succeed in your role you’ll have a good understanding of what drives the client and employee experience and the IT landscape, and you are aware of the latest innovations within banking and digital. Most importantly, you are a connector, you structure and simplify complex content, and you can detail clear requirements; you enjoy working with a diverse group of stakeholders from different backgrounds. Within our department and team, you support senior consultants driving our Automation Hub’s and take ownership of your own processes.

Working environment

You will be part of an international team and deal with a multitude of stakeholders from across the bank. Process Automation is part of the bank wide BPM – Process Digitalisation department, and is an integral part of the growth strategy of the bank. We play a key role is shaping the digital tools and user experience of our clients and employees; we work closely with business experts and process designers to define digital solutions, and we act as a linking pin towards development teams, ensuring expected outcomes are met and constantly assessing potential for further improvement.

Your profile

As a Business Consultant Process Automation you enjoy combining think-work with execution. You understand stakeholder’s needs and can deep dive in to content, structure complex topics and translate them into tangible actions. You have affinity with the fields of technology, process analysis and program management. In your development you strive to balance detail with connecting overarching dots. If you think that your profile fits this list we are looking forward to meeting you:

  • Higher educational background (WO); and 2+ years of work experience.
  • Experience in analysing problems and processes, structuring process requirements, identifying solutions and presenting your advice to stakeholders in a convincing and structured manner.
  • You are a critical thinker and you are interested in technology. You understand the high-level picture, but you are able to get in to the details and to work both with business experts and development teams.
  • The right attitude towards collaboration, exploration and getting-things-done. Hands-on mindset and the ability to connect with people.
  • You are comfortable working in English on a daily basis.

Furthermore:

  • The gross monthly salary (Eur 4.213 - 6.014) displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget. A 40-hour work week is also possible.
  • The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
  • Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
  • Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
  • Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team).
  • An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands.
  • An excellent pension scheme.
