Your job

The department Control & Fee Analytics Europe (CFA) is responsible for controlling, reporting, and analyzing Clearing Europe’s financial income and expenses. The assignment consists of ensuring the quality of financial reporting and control by overviewing the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of our financial records. By understanding Clearing Europe financial processes and their financial consequences, you will be helping to report Clearing’s financials.

Your activities will include but not be limited to:

  • Ensure a complete and accurate general ledger according to internal accounting guidelines.
  • Process revenues and fee invoices are entered correctly into the system according to Control and Fee Analytics guidelines.
  • Ensures proper and timely automatic and manual journal entries are made.
  • Make proposals for modifications of processes in line with internal guidelines.

Your profile

  • You are at the last year of your Bachelor or Master studies (WO or HBO). 
  • Your study covers Finance, Accounting, or other related fields.
  • You are enrolled at a Dutch university for the entire duration of the internship.
  • You have affinity with financial accounting, control or reporting, regulatory/tax reporting, custody and clearing.
  • You can start in late February or early March.
  • You are available for 6-9 months.

  • Analytical mind: your analytical skills are well developed in order to deconstruct problems and rethink possible solutions.
  • Autonomous: you are disciplined enough to work without supervision, and you like to take the initiative to solve problems by yourself.
  • Communicative: you can convey information in an accurate and clear manner.
  • Entrepreneurial mind: you are open to improvements, innovation, and new opportunities, and you keep challenging yourself to improve your way of working.
  • Flexible: you are used to working in dynamic environments and you know how to embrace changes around you and adapt successfully to them.
  • Detail-oriented: you pay attention to details and double check everything you do in order to deliver the best outcome.
