Expert Lead Modelling Data

At a glance

Do you have affinity with regulatory compliancy, data and models or are you willing to learn more about these topics? Are you a team player that likes to accomplish results and work together with highly skilled professionals?
If so, take a look at the vacancy of Product Owner Modelling Data for ALM ( Asset and Liability Management) and CER ( Climate and Environmental Risk)!

We are constantly looking for ways to improve how we manage our risks. Risk Models play a pivotal role in this. These models rely on accurate data supplied by our Modelling Data Teams as part of ABN AMRO’s Finance & Risk Consumer Data department within the Finance & Risk Data Domain.

Your job

As an Expert Lead in Finance & Risk Consumer Dataset department, you will lead a team responsible for providing datasets towards modelling for ALM and CER models, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the coordination, administration and communication in order to get high quality Risk datasets. The modelling data team is responsible for sourcing the data from the different sources within the bank, integrating these into datasets for modelling and executing data quality checks to make sure the data is fit for purpose to be used in the models.

Each modelling data team consists of a group of data professionals who work in an agile way that you manage as HR responsible by coaching and guiding them in improving their performance and development. Also you prioritize and maintain the backlog where the work of the teams is kept. You maintain good relationships with the different stakeholders, with the goal of maximizing value and achieving the long term goals of the department, finance and the bank as a whole.

Workenvironment

ABN AMRO Finance & Risk Data Domain is a rapidly growing department of which quantitative professionals form a large part. We are the bank’s expertise centre for Finance & Risk Data. Our data supports the different finance and risk reports and models of the bank which helps in the day-to-day decision-making, from pricing deals and issuing customer loans to setting and monitoring market risk limits and defining the bank’s capital requirements.
The Modelling Data team is part of the Consuming Data department which is primarily responsible for supplying data for developing and calibrating risk models. The team is now being expanded to almost 50 FTE divided across  sub teams (Credit Risk Retail, Credit Risk Non-Retail, ALM, CER and a team working on our Risk Analytics Platform).

The teams largely consist of highly motivated colleagues with international backgrounds, working in an open and informal atmosphere. Given the importance the regulatory authorities ascribe to modelling and the data underpinning it, this is a challenging and impactful role.
