Senior Digital Transformation Consultant (Blackbelt)

At a glance

Are you excited to play a key role in delivering upon the promise to our customers to become a personal bank in the digital age? Do you have affinity with business process management and a digital mindset? And are you someone who can mobilise teams to collaborate, enable execution and get the right results? Then this might be the perfect job for you! ABN AMRO’s operations are becoming increasingly complex. Within the COO, the Business Process Management (BPM)-Process Digitalisation (PD) department has been established to get a better grip on bank-wide process control and accelerate the E2E digitalisation of the bank’s processes. You, Senior Digital Transformation Consultant, have a big role to play in the latter. You participate in a team that is responsible for coordinating and driving the execution of the digitalisation of core E2E processes of ABN AMRO. Are you ready to take on this challenge?

Your job

As a Senior Digital Transformation Consultant, you will be part of a team responsible for coordinating and driving the execution of the digitalisation of core end-to-end (E2E) processes at ABN AMRO. These processes are prioritized by senior management and are crucial for achieving the bank's objectives. You will work closely with the PD Lead and fellow PD Experts, collectively ensuring the successful completion of the different phases of E2E process digitalisation—review, design, solution, development, and implementation—within the set timeframe. In this role, you will mobilize stakeholders across the E2E value chain, including Segments, Product Units, DFC, CC&OPS, and CDE, to collaborate and execute on the priorities set. You will create clarity in target setting through mutual E2E process OKRs, establish priorities, and develop planning to enable effective monitoring and steering of execution. You will manage specific projects within the scope of an E2E digitalisation program by engaging stakeholders, managing resources and budgets, and resolving issues. Additionally, you will convert specific needs and objectives from stakeholders into detailed, actionable tasks that can be executed by both business and IT teams. You will proactively signal opportunities for improvement, whether requested or on your own initiative. Furthermore, you will stay informed about internal and external developments in process excellence and digitalisation, and translate these insights into the BPM-PD domain.

Working environment

You will work in the BPM-PD department. Our aim: we make processes work- by providing insight and oversight of our process landscape, delivering process automation and content management services and by driving the execution of process digitalisation. You will work closely together in a professional team of colleagues - mainly other PD Experts and colleagues from Product Units (Business Process Owners), Grids ((L)PO’s, business developers, domain architects etc) and Strategy Execution&Implementation (LEAN, business implementation managers etc). You also have daily contact with various stakeholders across the E2E value chain. You enthuse them about our structured and future state approach in E2E digitalisation and focus on execution. You work in a solution-oriented way: with an innovative and fresh look, you engage with stakeholders involved to design a future state digital process that meets the needs of our customers and organization and can translate this to actionable plans for realisation. While doing so, you incorporate relevant internal and external developments. You are curious, structured, result driven and have a strong execution capability.

Your profile

  • A relevant bachelor or university degree.
  • 7 - 10+ years’ experience in process digitalisation in the banking sector.
  • Affinity with business process management, operational excellence and business analysis.
  • Proven skills in influencing, consultancy and collaboration in large organizations.
  • Knowledge of (market) developments in the field of automation, digitalisation and IT applications/tooling and/or providers thereof.
  • Knowledge of the IT infrastructure and capabilities of ABN AMRO is considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of Scrum or agile frameworks.
  • Willingness to contribute to a future-proof, sustainable digital processes landscape.
  • You easily build relationships and strive for constructive cross departmental collaboration.
  • You recognize the needs and questions of our business sponsors and proactively take action to meet their expectations.
  • How to improve a process, increase its performance and do so by collaborating across a value chain, gives you energy.
