To strengthen our Platforms theme, we're now looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial innovator who's keen to make a sustainable contribution to the future of ABN AMRO.

Your job

You’ll become part of the team focused on “Leveraging platforms for superior customer experience”. Our team’s goal is to build a portfolio of innovation initiatives pursuing this ambition, creating value for clients and society. Together with your team, business colleagues, developers and partners, you’ll develop new business models that generate new fee income for ABN AMRO.

What you’ll be doing

• Launch and lead new innovation initiatives that focus on digital platforms and related value-added services;
• Follow our corporate innovation process in developing new products and services and guide them through the innovation funnel
• Develop and test new business propositions with end users, varying from paper prototypes to working minimum viable products, which you’ll build with our tech teams;
• Procure and manage the relationship with new suppliers to realize the full value stream of your proposition.
• Perform a rigorous risk analysis together with your team and the 2nd LoD. Manage the implementation of the mitigants required to safely launch new propositions to market.
• Gather team members with different skills to accelerate insights and translate these into new business opportunities;
• Connect and maintain external and internal relationships with people in different industries.

Working environment

The Innovation Centre is an open and lively space at the heart of ABN AMRO in the Gustav Mahlerlaan. Strategy and Innovation (S&I) brings committed and engaged entrepreneurs, tech experts, bankers, designers and innovation professionals together to work on the future of ABN AMRO. You’ll be part of the “Platformification” team: a growing group of experts and entrepreneurs who use their combined professionalism, experience and skills to accelerate innovation and develop ideas from start-up to scale-up.

Your profile

The ideal candidate has a unique mix between an experienced innovation professional and an unstoppable entrepreneur who “makes things happen”:

• You have a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree and at least 3-5 years of work experience, preferably as a start-up entrepreneur or corporate innovator;
• You understand the banking industry and the forces at play in its current transformation;
• You are commercially savvy and capable to develop relationships and generate new business;
• You are able to define business strategies and their related financial business cases;
• You have experience with, and knowledge of, Design Thinking, Agile and Lean Startup; you understand the differences and similarities between them and can apply them;
• You’re results driven, with hands-on experience in bringing ideas further from concept to execution;
• You’re able to make decisions and willing to act when the need arises, while also being flexible enough to adapt plans according to new insights or changing circumstances;
• Your energetic, open, investigative and infectious approach inspires others;
• You’re an inspiring teammate: you flourish when you contribute to a diverse, talented team.

We are offering

• The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
• The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
• Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
• Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
• Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team and depending on your position).
• An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands.
• An excellent pension scheme.
