Your job
As a Senior Data Modeler in the Customer Data Products team within the CDS Data Office, you will play a pivotal role in developing data products by integrating golden sources into user-ready solutions. Your expertise in data modeling, using tools like Erwin or similar, will be essential in translating complex business requirements into robust data models. You will also be responsible for transforming business data models into logical data models, then into application data models, and finally into data products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and understand business needs, translating them into comprehensive data models.
- Expertise in conducting detailed analysis of various data sources to derive insightful requirements and develop conceptual and business data models.
- Proficient in utilizing centrally provided data management processes to set up definitions and metadata, ensuring consistent data understanding across the organization.
- Skilled in defining and refining requirements for logical and physical data models, working closely with data engineers to ensure accurate implementation.
- Capable of providing input, such as parts of the code, for data engineers and reviewing their delivery to ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Adept at evaluating and improving data models related to Customer & Party domains, ensuring continuous enhancement and optimization.
- Experienced in mapping data entities into their respective tables, adding necessary database constraints, rules, partitions, and programmatical features.
- Ensure the accuracy and alignment between physical and logical data models, verifying database structures for consistency and reliability.
- Effective collaborator within multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Maintain a strong foundation for data solutions by keeping the bigger picture in mind, ensuring data products are versatile and scalable to meet diverse business needs.
Working environment
The Customer & Party Data Products team is a new and developing team responsible for delivering innovative data products. We provide solutions, address complex data issues related to Customer Data, and offer advisory services. Our team thrives in an inclusive environment where reliability and support are part of our DNA.
Your profile
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in data modeling with tools such as Erwin or similar.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into data model requirements.
- In-depth understanding of translating business data models to logical data models, application data models, and data products.
- Extensive knowledge of conceptual, logical, and physical data models, as well as database management systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, promoting collaboration at all levels.
- A strong foundation in theoretical and practical data modeling principles.
We are offering
- The gross monthly salary shown at the top of the page is based on a 36-hour working week, including holiday pay and benefit budget.
- The benefit budget is 11% of your salary. If you do not make any purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a month, you will be paid one-twelfth of your benefit budget for that month.
- Five weeks' holiday per year. You have the option to purchase four additional weeks per year.
- Personal Development Budget of € 1,000 per year. You can save this amount up to €3,000.
- Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team and depending on your position).
- An annual public transport subscription with free public transport throughout the Netherlands.
