Your job

In the Market Risk Reporting & Data Analysis Internship, you get hands-on experience with generating, analysis and distributing high-quality and complex risk reports regarding financial risk related subjects. Besides working on the daily and weekly risk reports to stakeholders, you’ll also perform analysis on input data for risk models and support the team in larger projects ranging from rebuilding reports to automation of data checks.
As an intern in the Market Risk Reporting & Control team, your responsibilities will be:
•    Monitoring the risk limits of trading and banking books of ABN AMRO 
•    Being in the lead of transforming data into insightful reports for both internal and external stakeholders
•    Automating processes in Python
•    Improve PowerBI reports
•    Assuring quality of market reference data in various financial products used for risk and reporting purposes
•    Supporting the team in larger projects
•    Liaising with different stakeholders outside the team, like risk managers, IT and business developers
 

Your working environment

You will work in the Market Risk Reporting & Control team of ABN AMRO, which is part of the Finance organization. In our team we are mainly concerned with data analysis, reporting and communicating financial risk metrics to internal and external stakeholders. As a reporting team, we must ensure to have the correct information available in our systems in a timely manner in order to be able to report. We are looking for someone who can contribute to this role.

Your profile

We are looking for a skilled and high-performing intern:
•    You are in a MSc or final year of BSc in Economics, Finance, or a related study
•    Demonstrable interest in financial products and markets
•    You have programming skills, preferably in Python
•    Experience with Microsoft PowerBI is a plus
•    You are able to start in July/August 2025
•    You are available for a minimum of 6 months
•    You have excellent written and spoken English
