Do you want to work in the heart of our bank? Are you interested in getting to know the different fields of Asset & Liability Management and Treasury on-the-go? Do you want to learn how to manage the bank's balance sheet? Then we have a great opportunity for you!
ALM/Treasury is responsible for managing and optimizing the balance sheet. This means we analyze internal and external developments and translate them into concrete (management) proposals. We present these to the Executive Board and various committees, such as the Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO) and the Business Risk Committee ALM/T. Externally, we primarily interact with the regulator (DNB/ECB) and other banks. Additionally, we have extensive contact with various business units and international ALM locations.
We are looking for trainees who want to develop a broad perspective on the ALM/T domain through several rotations. We believe in learning on-the-job and growing by taking on responsibility. Furthermore, we believe that ALM is the perfect place to get to know our bank in a unique way, as we offer you the chance to have both a helicopter view and gain in-depth knowledge.
Your job
The Talent Programme lasts one year, during which you learn by working in different teams. You will do three rotations within ALM or in departments that closely collaborate with ALM.
You might work on planning or operational management of interest rate risk, liquidity risk, or capital management. Or perhaps on the pricing of these risks. In this way, you develop a broad view of the different risk types and get to know different areas of our bank. At the end of your Talent Programme, you will be familiar with ALM/T, the core activities of our bank, and understand the structure of the balance sheet. In short, this programme offers you the perfect start to your career within ALM/T and our bank.
During the Talent Programme, you will discover in 18 months what working at the bank can offer you. We train you for your first role and provide the space to develop a solid foundation for your future career. We do this by offering various elements in the traineeship such as masterclasses, rotations and assignments. This way, you will quickly build a network and get to know the bank even better.
You actively work on increasing your professional knowledge and follow a training program so that you can perform your work optimally. Additionally, we offer you the unique opportunity to follow a Traineeship journey with Kyden, where you will work on developing your personal leadership and skills. Through assignments, you gain insight into yourself as a professional, discovering how your talent can be best utilized.
Working environment
Working at ALM/T means becoming even better at what you do. You will join a diverse, young, and dynamic team of highly educated professionals who love complex challenges. Our team fosters an informal and open atmosphere, and we consider it important that you are open to different cultures and ways of thinking.
Additionally, we find it important to stimulate both your substantive and personal development. We are eager to share our knowledge. Many knowledge sessions are organized in the department, as well as within and outside the bank.
ALM consists of ~80 colleagues who focus on interest rate risk, capital, liquidity, and balance sheet management. We are an enthusiastic, young department where there is also room for relaxation, such as (spontaneous) drinks, sports sessions, team outings, and an annual ski trip.

Furthermore, you love complex challenges and can reach the core of your analyses without losing the overall picture.
