Located at Zuidas in Amsterdam, this is ABN AMRO’s most dynamic and challenging work environment, situated in the complex world of financial products. As a Senior Business Consultant Global Markets, you will support change management at the intersection of data, process and IT changes impacting the business functions for Global Markets, ALM/Treasury and their financial and regulatory control environment.
Your job
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize the Data Domain Board: Coordinate and facilitate meetings to ensure effective decision-making.
- Define the roadmap: Develop and manage data, process and IT change roadmaps, including budget considerations.
- Oversight and Risk Management: Provide oversight on data issues, gaps, and data sharing agreements; manage data risks in collaboration with Commercial Banking representatives.
- Business Process Management: assess, propose and deliver process and governance improvements across the business functions for Global Markets, ALM/Treasury, and risk types like Market Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk.
- Stakeholder Updates: Prepare and deliver periodic updates to Markets stakeholders.
- Liaison Role: Act as a point of contact for group entities regarding local data management tasks.
- Project Management: Undertake individual analysis or manage specific project assignments to drive change initiatives.

You will work in the Grid Financial Markets. The Grid is a segment of Product Strategy, Management, and Control Markets. The Grid consists of four business focused value chains (like Credits & Rates, Foreign Exchange and Securities Financing); two data related teams for data management, data science and analysis and a support & oversight team to keep it all together. You will take position in this S&O team and have exposure to the broad range of (business) services, Finance and Risk Control functions, Regulatory Reporting, Architecture and IT activities. This exposure helps you create a vision for the data domain for the coming years and set priorities. You will assess how these priorities impact the Grid in terms of capacity, budget, and opportunities during periodic discussions with the Grid Owner. Support the Head of Support & Oversight in preparing oversight products and identifying conflict or risk areas. Additionally, take responsibility for specific deep-dive analyses, build solution proposals, or manage change initiatives.

You are able to decompose a complex problem and formulate and articulate potential solutions. You are involved and motivated and able to achieve goals. You feel comfortable keeping relevant stakeholders connected.

- Understanding of Banking operations with an interest in financial markets products and balance sheet management.
- Academic thinking and minimum 10 year experience in the financial sector.
