iOS Chapter Lead

Ever thought of how many people log in to the ABN AMRO app or Internet Banking website each month? Over five million! The objective of the Personal Banking Grid (department) is to ensure that each of their visits is not only secure, but also a personal and smooth experience. We are looking for an iOS Chapter Lead, who can help us serve our clients even better. Curious to hear more? Then continue reading! 

Your job as …

As an iOS chapter lead at our grid, you will combine working as an iOS IT Engineer, with your role as Lead. Thus, you will be working both as an iOS developer in your interdisciplinary team and manage your chapter. The latter includes:     

  • Coaching your chapter members on technical craftsmanship.   
  • Guiding personal development of the people in your team    
  • Take care of the HR processes to facilitate all aspects relating to recruitment and the on- and offboarding of employees, development, and performance.   
  • Alignment with other chapters so we learn from each other and create a strong community of developers. Together you create a vision and strategy.   
  • Actively participating in knowledge gaining and sharing by hosting triangles, circles, communities, and events.   
  • Alignment with IT Lead  
  • Create and foster a healthy working environment and a holistic culture for your chapter.   
  • Educating yourself and others with the right technical capabilities and the latest innovations.

Must have:  

  • 8+ years of experience in iOS Development (Swift/Objective-C) 
  • Coaching & Leadership skills 
  • Strong communication skills in English 
  • Experience in working DevOps 
  • Good Command over Architecture and Design patterns 
  • Good knowledge of Swift 

 

Good to have: 

  • Experienced with up-to-date Apple technologies, with a focus on SwiftUI and Swift Concurrency
  • Advanced with CI/CD tooling like Jenkins/Azure DevOps   
  • Programming languages (Objective-C, Ruby, Python) 
  • Strong problem-solving skills   
  • Understand and act upon the Scrum Values (openness, courage, commitment, respect, and focus) 
  • Release management
