Security Data Analyst (CISO IAM)

At a glance

We are on a mission to use data analytics to make cyber security data driven. At ABN AMRO we have vast amounts of data that can be used to make the bank, its customers and employees more secure. Fraud detection on payments and network monitoring are obvious areas where you can help. Access control, identity management and security governance are domains that can also be made more secure by becoming data driven. With your great team spirit, creative mindset and knowledge of data you are able to deliver the data driven solutions of tomorrow. Are you able to deep dive into the data and get insights out? Share us your story!

Your job

As a data analyst in the Corporate Information Security Office (CISO), your work will make the customers and employees of the bank more secure. You identify (security) problems to solve and find opportunities where you can add value. You create insight from the data and generate oversight for all of the departments. You will be working closely with our internal process owners to generate beautiful and actual dashboards.

Your activities will include:

  • Identify problems and opportunities that can be solved with data (science). Determine the security business value. How much will a solution contribute in solving the security problem?;
  • Understand the data, connect data sources, transform it and visualise its insights into reports and dashboards;
  • Assess the performance and consumption of your reports and dashboards to understand if anything needs to be changed;
  • Help the rest of the CISO organisation to become data-driven themselves. Part of this is via inspiration and education.

Working environment

You will be working for CISO Identity and Access. We are part of CISO that has over 300 employees that work on all aspects of cyber security of the bank. CISO has adopted an agile way of working where we take on challenges as a team, regardless of hierarchy. We want to be the driving force for security of the bank, our customers and society. Banking for better, for generations to come.

Your profile

  • Statistics and mathematics;
  • Experienced with Excel, Power BI, and data visualization. Good knowledge of Power Query, DAX, and practical experience of Power BI Service. Reference level of knowledge – Microsoft PL-300 certification;
  • Data savviness. You know your way with data and getting all the insights out. Keen on finding the ‘real’ problem that needs to be solved. Relentless but friendly, following processes;
  • Communication and Data Visualization: Knowing Your Audience;
  • Data engineering. Implementing data analytics from source to consumption.
  • Fluent in verbal and written Dutch & English
