As a trainee, you work together with colleagues all over the world to serve the best trading houses through our global network.


    From our offices located in the major international trading cities, we serve professional clients, such as professional trading firms, investment managers and large corporates. As clients are highly demanding and the market environment fluctuates, you are guaranteed to learn a lot in a short space of time. Working at ABN AMRO Clearing means thriving in an international, professional yet informal, stimulating, technology-driven environment.

    What does the traineeship look like?

    The 12-month Global Clearing Traineeship is tailored to prepare you for a job in the dynamic world of Clearing. In the first month of the programme, you and your fellow graduates from all over the world (Singapore, London, Chicago, Amsterdam) gather for an induction training in Amsterdam. During these training weeks, you will learn everything there is to know about ABN AMRO Clearing, get interactive (financial) trainings, learn about the different departments and get to build a network. After this crash course, you take on three rotations of 3 to 4 months each in Clearing. Besides paying attention to content, we also work on your personal development.

    Starting positions

    Within the Global Clearing Traineeship, you will start as a trainee within one of the 2 tracks. The precise details of the Clearing Traineeship depend on the direction you choose. 

    Business

    Broad business track with rotations in different departments of Clearing, such as Risk, Operations, Commercial and Finance. During your rotations you'll learn about the department in a short period of time, where your input and new view is essential to stimulate innovation. 

    IT

    Track focussed on IT (Risk) and Grid roles and rotations. You are looking for a career as IT Development Engineer and want to explore your capabilities to transform client needs into brilliant code and IT software designs, then the IT track might be just what you are looking for.

    Who are you?

    • You have an entrepreneurial spirit, creative mind-set and are capable of assessing and evaluating risks.
    • You thrive in an international context.
    • You have a recently obtained University bachelor’s degree, preferably followed by a Master’s degree.
    • You think in terms of what is possible, see opportunities and take a solutions-oriented approach.

    We offer (under Dutch CLA)

    • A gross salary of approximately €4.300,- based on a 40-hour working week.
    • 11% benefit budget, with which you can buy extra employment benefits.
