ABN AMRO Clearing Bank (AACB) is a leading global player in clearing and clearing related services. We provide professional clients access to financial markets around the globe. The goal of Clearing Operations is to make client’s business easy, reliable, and secure. By working together, we are responsible for processing approximately 15 million transactions on average per day. We are driven by IT solutions, so while performing our operational tasks, we need to have a continuous eye for automation and innovation as the world around us is changing constantly.

Your job

Your job will be in the Processing Corporate Actions team of the Operations department of ABN AMRO Clearing. Processing is the entry point to the day-to-day client business and the team knows & understands the entire Corporate Actions flow. On a daily basis, the team processes transactions and payments, related to Corporate Actions like for example dividends and mergers for our clients. Besides this, the team solves errors and exceptions (whenever necessary), and maintains a robust & predictable process, to improve client service. Where possible, the team is focused on automation, digitalization, and process optimization to make our processes more efficient. As an officer in Operations, you are responsible to run and improve the day-to-day business and its processes. You will learn all about the end-to-end flows in Clearing, the role of Operations within Clearing and get knowledge on the activities within Operations and their impact on our clients. You will be challenged to be critical, proactive and take ownership when it comes to your and your colleagues’ day-to-day work.

Your profile

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably Economics or Finance, but not required if you have a clear motivation to work within the financial sector
  • Problem solver, with eye for detail and a hands-on mentality 
  • Excellent Excel and/or Excel VBA skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, and not afraid to ask for help 
  • You show ownership and initiative
  • Able to adapt to different circumstances and new information
     

We are offering

  • The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget
  • Opportunities to grow into other roles within Operations or other departments
  • A Benefit Budget, which is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month
  • Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year
  • Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000
  • Possibility to work from home for two days per week
  • An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands
  • An excellent pension scheme
