Domain Architect - Identity & Access Management

At a glance

We are looking for an IT Domain Architect with focus on Identity & Access management, working in the Corporate Information Security Office (CISO).

The need for information security is rapidly increasing. Especially within a bank, where attackers have much to gain. For that reason we are constantly searching for smarter ways to make digital banking as secure as possible. A big responsibility as there is much at stake.

Do you have the knowledge and insights in the technical (im)possibilities and dependencies of large and complex changes in our IT landscape? Are you able to guarantee the safety of our bank- and client data in a smarter and better way? And are you excellent at communicating this to your stakeholders? Are you able to influence on these topics in large groups? Then tell us your story. We are curious. If you are good, you will become better with us. That we promise you!

Your job

Your primary assignment will be to define and guard the technical choices we make in our identity & access management-related IT landscape. From future state architecture and current state architecture to solution intent.  But we also need you to build bridges and connect different views and opinions into one direction. You will work together with many colleagues and teams, as you align business objectives with IT objectives. As a sparring partner you will help the IT Lead, Grid Owner and Product Owner with the right cadres and solutioning. But you also coach, guide and monitor the agile delivery teams in their solution design and actual implementation activities, to ensure that the solution intents are delivered. In doing so, you also make sure that key non-functional requirements, such as security standards are complied with.

This is therefore a very challenging function, where we can offer you a high-level of responsibility, autonomy, and both a conceptual and people challenge. A Domain Architect has technical expertise, a long term vision, product knowledge and soft skills. Main goal: simplifying and improvement of the IT landscape so that ABN AMRO remains secure and future proof. All activities of the Domain Architect are really based on creation of long term value keeping the future state architecture in mind.

This role is for someone who enjoys working as part of a team of technical experts and being the linking pin between technology, product owners and management. This means that you will:

  • Coach agile development teams making the right architectural decisions in a landscape transformation but also able to provide clear guidance when needed
  • Help the development teams to cut big changes in small user stories and shippable products
  • Work together with several departments, teams and various technologies
  • That you continuously learn from theory, or every now and then from mistakes you or others make

Working environment

You will be working for the Corporate Information Security Office (CISO), the central information security function within ABN AMRO. CISO has adopted an agile way of working where we take on challenges as a team, regardless of hierarchy. We want to be the driving force for security of the bank, our customers and society. Banking for better, for generations to come.

The CISO domain architects are organised within the team Technology & Engineering (T&E). Our role (amongst others) is to be the expert centre for IT security and to be the central hub for security related advice. You will work in a team of 14 CISO domain architects. In that team you are part of a much larger architecture community within the organisation.
