Your job
Customer and market behavior, technology and new legislation and regulations are constantly changing. As Manager Credit Risk & Modelling your challenge is for you and your team to respond quickly and adequately to these changes from a credit risk management perspective. You use your expertise to recognize and assess the credit risks associated with the various phases of the credit life cycle and to draw conclusions from your findings. The customer is the most important starting point. To implement a balanced risk policy, it is essential to monitor the performance of the portfolio in a sustainable and transparent manner. You find it challenging to take ICS to a higher level in terms of credit policy and processes and associated models (first-line risk management and ownership in the Three Lines of Defense Model). You are a strong communicator and create support among your stakeholders by implementing activities in your field. As Manager Credit Risk & Models you report directly to the Head of Products.
In your role as Manager Credit Risk & Models, you are responsible for:
• Interpreting Credit regulation, creating the (ICS) Credit Standards, policies and implementing these standards and policies.
• Advising on, monitor and implementing the ICS and ABN AMRO Credit Risk policies (The Credit Risk Standard) and guard that the 1st and 2nd line and management take their responsibility.
• Balancing the interests and risk/return ratio in the development and implementation of policies and integrated credit risk activities.
• Complying to applicable laws and regulation.
• Keeping abreast of the relevant internal and external developments within the field of credit risk and modelling and identifying the consequences for our credit risk.
Your profile
Ideal experience
- Over 5 years of experience in Credit Risk Management and Modelling
- A proven track record within Credit Risk
- Excellent verbal and written skills, both in Dutch and English
- Knowledge of business administration and internal policies and external legislation and regulations regarding (credit) risk, legal and compliance
- Knowledge of and experience with the “Three Lines of Defense risk management model”
- Knowledge of (inter)national financial markets and regulators, (inter)national compliance with EBA laws and regulations
Specific knowledge
- Extensive experience with, and knowledge of risk modelling
- Knowledge of loan origination and credit risk
- Experience in working with frameworks and rules (policy)
- Provide (strategic) advice that focuses on a sustainable risk-reward ratio of the portfolio

- The gross monthly salary (min. Eur. 6.793 - ma. Eur. 9.704) is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.A 40-hour work week is also possible. Salary (scale) is based on the knowledge, experience and potential you bring.
- The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
- Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
- Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
- Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team).
- An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands.
