Credit Risk Regulatory Change Expert

At a glance

Credit Risk Change & Control brings you to the heart of Credit Risk—a core risk type safeguarding ABN AMO’s Credit Risk profile for generations to come, supporting the banks’ strategic objectives while meeting clients' and societal expectations.

We are looking for a colleague to strengthen our team with a focus on regulatory and internal change coordination part of our scope. Are you interested in helping the Credit Risk department and the Bank in meeting regulatory requirements and achieving the expected outcomes? Do you have analytical skills and can you think about things holistically? Are you great at managing stakeholders and collaborating with them? If yes, then the role of Credit Risk Regulatory Change Expert within the Credit Risk Change & Control department is an interesting opportunity for you to improve both professionally and personally.

Your job

As a Regulatory Change Expert, your role will involve supporting Credit Risk in setting requirements and monitoring and coordinating the implementation of regulatory change topics. Your primary focus will be on assignments that require you to interact with our regulators ECB/DNB. This may involve coordinating On-Site Inspections, conducting deep dives, and periodically submitting findings for remediation. You will also represent Credit Risk in internal projects aimed at delivering these remediations and improving our credit risk lifecycle. Additionally, you will have the flexibility to broaden your scope and take on a secondary assignment in one of the different areas within the Change & Control department.

Working environment

The Credit Risk Change & Control department is responsible for managing changes in the credit life cycle, including those related to evolving laws and regulations. The department ensures that credit risk landscape changes are implemented within the Credit Risk Function and the broader Bank, in compliance with regulations. The team updates control frameworks, investigates and resolves problems, and supports internal and external audits and regulatory inspections and reviews. Credit Risk Change & Control is part of the Shared Capabilities departments within the Credit Risk Organization, and the team values transparent and proactive communication, optimal collaboration, and high-quality deliverables.

As a member of the Credit Risk Change & Control team, you will work alongside 27 professionals with extensive knowledge and experience in project management, change management, and consulting. The team has a deep understanding of the inner workings of the bank as a whole and provides a supportive atmosphere for professional growth and development. Credit Risk encourages diversity of thought and values new and innovative perspectives. The team fosters an open and informal atmosphere where colleagues are always willing to offer their support.

Your profile

  • You combine a Bachelor's Degree (or higher) with 8+ years of relevant experience in working on regulatory requirements and deliverables, ideally also having interacted directly with regulators.
  • You have strong project management skills and can manage (parts of) projects independently. You do this through careful planning, stakeholder alignment, progress monitoring of deliverables in terms of timeliness and meeting expectations, regular communication, and timely escalations if needed.
  • You are risk-aware and focused on quality, and you are not afraid to ask questions or bring challenges that will help improve deliverables.
  • You have excellent written and verbal English communication skills, allowing you to convey a compelling story and convince your stakeholders of the call to action.
  • You have strong stakeholder management skills and can effectively balance priorities to ensure alignment
  • You are a pragmatic individual who can easily manage large projects, even under high-pressure deadlines.

We are offering

  • The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
  • The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
  • Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
  • Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
  • Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team and depending on your position).
  • An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands.
  • An excellent pension scheme.
