Tech Lead Private Cloud (Openshift) / Product Owner

Are you passionate about leading complex/challenging technology initiatives? We are looking for a dynamic Tech Lead/ Product Owner for OpenShift to join our team! OpenShift is one of our strategic platforms, and we need someone who can develop and grow the platform to fit all our applications seamlessly. 

In this role, you will be at the forefront of our technology strategy, working closely with various teams to ensure smooth integration and alignment. Your expertise will be crucial in driving innovation and efficiency across our organization. Together with Redhat, you will drive the creation of a new Openshift Platform tailored to the business and application needs. You will also participate in quarterly business reviews to align our platform's growth with our business objectives.
The team consists of around 10 people globally, focusing on developing and ensuring implementation of Private Cloud platform on Openshift. The team works in an agile/scrum way. You, the Product Owner, set the priorities for the sprints in consultation with stakeholders and the team.

Your job

As a Tech Lead/ Product Owner for OpenShift, you will play a crucial role in translating AACB’s Platform strategy into actionable goals. Your vision will incorporate the latest innovations in the OpenShift domain, ensuring that our platform remains at the cutting edge. When achieving your goals, you strike the right balance between strategy, objectives, business processes, and the client. You motivate others and give direction to employees and coaches to help them achieve results. You are also able to weigh up interests properly, as you can form a bigger picture of the organisation. Your team has a positive culture and values that are supported and promoted by everyone.

Your profile

Results and Core Activities

 

  • Successful Development and Growth of the OpenShift Platform: ensuring that the platform is developed and grown to fit all applications seamlessly.
  • Alignment with Business Objectives: ensuring that the platform's growth aligns with the company's strategic goals through quarterly business reviews.
  • Efficient Collaboration: facilitating close collaboration with various teams to ensure smooth integration and alignment.
  • Backlog Management: manage the product backlog through prioritization
  • Stakeholder Management: collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure that the platform meets business needs and objectives.
  • Technical Oversight: overseeing the technical aspects of the platform, including security, performance, and scalability.

 

Knowledge and Experience

 

  • Understanding of OpenShift: knowledge of OpenShift architecture, deployment, and management is crucial. Familiarity with containerization concepts and Kubernetes is also important
  • Infrastructure Components: a strong IT background with a deep understanding of infrastructure components such as servers, storage, networking, and virtualization
  • Security and Performance: expertise in ensuring the security, performance, and scalability of the platform
  • Project and People Management: experience in managing projects and leading teams (+- 10 people). This includes setting priorities, managing the product backlog, and ensuring that the team achieves its goals. 
  • Stakeholder Management: strong skills in collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that the platform meets business needs and objectives
  • Alignment with Business Objectives: ability to translate the company's platform strategy into actionable goals and ensure alignment with business objectives through quarterly business reviews
  • Interpersonal Skills: strong interpersonal skills to liaise with technical and business users across different regions
  • Proactive Communication: ability to foresee and address issues before they arise and communicate effectively with the team and stakeholders
